Zuk Edge would be unveiled next week

After being spotted in several leaks and listing, Chang Cheng CEO of Zuk finally announced on Monday that Zuk Edge would be unveiled next week. With this announcement the CEO also posted the details of the smartphone for the first time. Now the live images of the smartphone have also cropped up on the internet, and we can have closer look at this Lenovo’s online-only kind.

The live images of Zuk Edge, which was spotted on a Chinese social networking website Weibo clearly shows that the upcoming handset will not be sporting a curved edge even though its name has ‘Edge’ in it. Instead, the leak shows that the smartphone comes with thin bezels and round camera panel at the back.

Further, the images reveal a 3.5mm headphone jack and USBB Type-C at the bottom end of the smartphone.

Earlier the Zuk Edge was spotted in a listing at the Chinese certification authority TENAA’s website. According to the listing, Zuk Edge comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It will be powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The Chinese publication also claimed that the smartphone would also offer with a 6GB of RAM variant.

According to the reports, the Zuk Edge smartphone will be offered two storage variants as well one with 32GB storage option and the other with the 64GB storage option. Coming to the optics, the Zuk Edge is expected to feature a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video recording. According to the TENAA listing, the upcoming device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with ZUI 2.0 skin and will pack a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone is also expected to house a fingerprint scanner as well.
