Zotac has revealed the price and availability of the VR GO backpack computer

Zotac had revealed the price and availability of the VR GO backpack computer, which gained an immense popularity when it was launched in early November. The VR GO will be made available online in the country via Prime ABGB by the end of December with a price tag of Rs. 1, 74, 999. The minicomputer was up for sales in other countries at a massive $1,999.99 (around Rs. 1, 36,700) and the company has finally revealed full specifications.

Zotac VR GO is a mini PC that featured detachable straps. This, with a removal battery pack, allows it be carried like a backpack and also explore virtual reality content as well. The specification consists of sturdy Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card paired with 8GB of GDDR5 video RAM, making it capable of managing even the serious graphics requirement meant for the  VR content output.

Other them a well-bestowed graphic card, the Zotac VR GO mini computer is powered by a 2.8GHz quad-core Intel i7-6700T processor. It is also employed with a “proprietary low-profile air cooling system” to keep the machine cool entirely. It is packed with two 6600mAh batteries which according to the company’s claim offers up to 2 hours of play time, and they can be hot-swapped once the batteries are drained out. It weighs at 4.95 kilograms, and features with Windows 10 Home pre-equipped.

Moreover, it comes with 16GB of DDR4 213MHz RAM expandable up to 32GB.  It also includes a 240GB M.2 PCle SSD with one more 2.5-inch SATA 3.0 slot for updates. Coming to the I/O options, the VR GO bears three HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports other than four other than four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, two DisplayPort 1.3 ports, SD card reader, and 3.5mm headphone jacks. In terms of wireless connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2. The display ports jointly can power up to four displays except for the VR headset.
