On Tuesday, Micromax subsidiary Yu Televentures launched the Yu Yunique 2 smartphone, since last week something that it has been teasing. The new version of its Yunique smartphone, the Yunique 2 has pre-installed Truecaller application in it – which provides features of caller ID and spam protection as its main USP. Other main highlights contain the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Android 7.0 Nougat, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 4G VoLTE support, and a low-priced as its USPs. From Thursday, the Yu Yunique 2 will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart.
Speaking at the launch of the Yu Yunique 2, and its Truecaller addition, Shubhodip Pal, who is the Chief Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer of Micromax and YU said that we are super excited to integrate a true dialer experience through Truecaller and partner with Flipkart. These partnerships will not only help us reach out to the young agitated social consumers but also provides greater value; a core thought for YU a mobile that resonates across our range of smartphones available in the market.
Yu Yunique 2 price in India, availability
The price in India for Yu Yunique 2 has been set at Rs. 5,999, and the smartphone will go on sale at 12 pm IST (Indian Standard Time) on Thursday, July 27 in Coal Black and Champagne color variants. It will be exclusively available via Flipkart. Currently, there is no information available for the Launch offers.
Yu Yunique 2 Specifications
Yu Yunique 2 is the dual-SIM (Micro) phone which runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS displays with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and is coupled with 2GB of RAM.
In the other features, the Yu Yunique 2 comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. It has the 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, FM radio, Micro-USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. In the Sensors list, it includes the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. It is powered by a 2500mAh battery; its dimensions are 145 x 72.7 x 9.15 mm (Length x width x thickness) and weight of 159 grams.
Yu Televentures is advertising the metal back and premium styling of the Yu Yunique 2. As we mentioned above, the inbuilt Truecaller is its main USP, which can provide the information of caller ID and spam for dialing and messaging.
