Xiaomi also known as the ‘Chinese Apple’ has again chosen to come up and swipe away the gadget market in India with its new launch ‘The Xiaomi Mi4C’ which is expected to release on 31st of May, 2016. Xiaomi Mi4C is the latest member of the Mi4 family which has already gone famous among the youngsters even before the release date, all thanks to the impressive specifications provided by its predecessor Xiaomi Mi4i, which helped Xiaomi gain trust among its customers.

The Xiaomi Mi4C is the Xiaomi’s attempt to secure a long-term market position in the field of mid-range smartphones with high-end specifications. The expected price of Xiaomi Mi4C is Rs. 13,999. Its specifications are sumptuous and are almost similar to Google’s recently released Nexus 5X- but at less than half the cost. It is vastly gaining popularity all because of its design and features and also because of the trusted brand name of Xiaomi since its arrival in the Indian market in 2014. Xiaomi Mi4C is expected to have elegant design and looks, superb performance and long-term durability.

After the great success of Mi4i, is Xiaomi Mi4C all set to wipe out the gadget market now? Let us have a detailed look to what specifications it provides and how long it is expected to hold the gadget market.

Xiaomi Mi4c Design and Look

Xiaomi Mi4C Detailed Review

Design: The first impression Xiaomi Mi4C is expected to have an all plastic exterior same like its predecessor Mi4i. It inherits most of its design features from Mi4i which has already gained a die-hard popularity among the Xiaomi fans. It resembles iPhone 5C to quite an extent mostly because of its slim polycarbonate body, but Xiaomi has given a matte finish to its product rather than a glossy one. This phone is expected to be very light and handy and will feature the same non-removable battery and non-expandable storage facility. While the market is gaining popularity on the metal body, Mi4C having a polycarbonate one would seem to look a bit outdated for some people, but it is not so, as the look and feel of this gadget are wisely designed to fit the customer expectations.

Xiaomi Mi4c Display

Touch and Display: Now coming on to display, Mi4C has a 5-inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with the multi-touch facility. The color display of this smartphone is smooth. Well! As we all know Xiaomi is better known for its compact size rather than large phablet screens, so this time also, Xiaomi has kept it quite compact, sleek and elegant. The 5inches screen gives it a 71.7 percent screen to body ratio and the display resolution is 1080×1920 pixels with 441 PPI pixel density which gives the screen a sharpened view and a magnificent color distribution. Xiaomi has included a sunlight mode which will give ease to view the screen in bright sunlight.

Software: Xiaomi has already a good name when it comes to the hardware and the software facilities. Mi5C uses the Lollipop version v5.1.1 of Android Operating System and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808. Xiaomi has always focused on good performance be it of any price range. The processor speed is expected to be decent. This smartphone also has Adreno 418 to give you an enjoyable gaming experience. There are basically two versions of Mi5C, one using 1.4GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 which is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage whereas the other one has got the chipset 1.82GHz dual-core Cortex-A57 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. But both of the versions are non-expandable. Now this is a feature where Mi4C seems to fall weak. Never mind! Xiaomi has already given an exceptional storage facility, though.

Xiaomi Mi4c Camera

Xiaomi Mi4c Camera

Camera: Xiaomi Mi4C primary camera is of 13-megapixel with an aperture of f/2.0 that will make this phone deliver bright pictures for you. It is also equipped with dual-tone LED Flash and auto phase detection which would make your photos come out live. As the phone is incomplete with its sharper front camera for selfies, hence Xiaomi has provided a 5 megapixel front camera for the selfie lovers. You would also experience a great video recording with its 1080p video quality.

Battery Life: Xiaomi’s non-removable Li-Po 3080mAh battery is sealed inside the phone’s aluminium unibody. Xiaomi’s battery life is expected to be great like that of its earlier Mi4i version. A battery capacity of 3080mAh is definitely going to be liked and welcomed by the customers.

Variants and Price: As according to the information Mi4C is going to come in five colors namely, white, grey, pink, yellow and blue. And in regard to its hardware, it has two flavors: one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and the other one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

And as far as the price of Mi4C is concerned, it is expected to be around Rs.13,999 and above.

Suggestions: As far as the specification of this smartphone is concerned it is probably one of the best in the market. The Ram size is just perfect along with a perfect amount of internal storage. The camera specifications are just amazing, and image it captures is irresistibly beautiful. The design and display of this smartphone are very impressive. It is expected that this phone is probably going to be one of the best in the market. Based on some information leaks Xiaomi Mi4C may become the company’s first smartphone to feature USB Type-C support. It is not confirmed but I so then it will be version 3.0. The display resolution boasts the whole of the look and feel of this gadget and is more than adequate for a smartphone of mid-range.

This phone also has a unique ability to wake up at the double tap of your fingers which makes the access very easy. MIUI used by Xiaomi in this phone boasts its user account system and is also now up to version 7 which makes this phone more like Apple’s iOS at less than half of its price. One thing that you would miss in this phone is the fingerprint scanner and the NFC. The company has said that NFC is not used by many of the people, maybe it is true but still, not having this facility takes this phone one step down the spec chart. And fingerprint scanner is also a very common feature for all the gadgets presently in the market. But apparently, owing to its price, not having these two features can be neglected easily. Now going by other outstanding specifications that this smartphone provides, we cannot stop praising Xiaomi. This phone is a good deal at such minimal price.
