Xiaomi is working on a new series – Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro

Xiaomi unveiled its first laptop, Mi Notebook Air in July, which immediately drew comparisons with Apple’s MacBook Air due to its name as weel as design. Now according to the leaks, Xiaomi is working on a new series- Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro. Earlier the rumours suggested the company was going to unveil the successor of Air laptop, however, the latest reports have put those rumours to rest.

The company has been sending media invites for the launch of the upcoming laptop which is expected to support 4G connectivity as well. Now a fresh leak suggests that the Pro laptop will come with a hefty price tag of CNY 6,000 (around Rs. 58,600).

Reports suggest that the Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi Notebook Pro will come with the specification that would be worthy of the hefty price tag. The laptop is tipped to feature a 4K resolution display and powered by Intel i7-6700HQ processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M graphic card paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB internal storage space.

In July the company launched the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air in two sizes; one with 12.5-inches and 13.3-inches display variants. The former is priced at CNY 3,499 (around Rs. 35,300) and the later came with a price tag of CNY 4,999 (around Rs. 51,400).

The device features a 13.3-inch, full-HD, and 5.59 mm thick bezel display. The laptop is powered by a sixth generation Intel Core i5 processor paired with Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU and 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB PCIe SSD. The company claims that the laptop offers 9.5 hours of battery life and the battery is claimed to charge 50 percent in 30 minutes. The 12.5-inch display variant is 12.9mm thin and weighs at 1.07kg with the full-HD screen. The device is powered by an Intel Core M3 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SATA SSD along with a second SSD slot. The battery life is claimed to be 11.5 hours.
