Samsung Galaxy J4, a phone which exists only in your dreams but not in reality. Yes! Actually, no such phone exists till now and in future, maybe not. Nothing can be said about J4; maybe Samsung has something related to this in its mind. Samsung, a South Koran giant which manufactures the products for all class groups, had introduced many series in its lifetime. And as the J series is also a part of the company’s portfolio, J4 comes to everyone’s minds sometimes.

In the Galaxy J series, the company has introduced 6 phones in its list. The list includes Galaxy J1, J2, J3, J5, and J7. Samsung did not introduce J4 after J3 and before J5 till now.

Let’s have a look at the specs and features of the phones manufactured by the company for the J series.

Firstly, Samsung Galaxy J1, whose four editions has been released i.e. the Mini, Ace, J1 4G and simply J1. And, its 2016 edition was launched in January 2016 and measures 132.6 x 69.3 x 8.9 mm and weighs 131 gram. Talking about its display, a super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen phone sports 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 480 pixels by 800 pixels and is operated on Exynos 3475 Quad chipset clocked with 1.3GHz quad-core processor.

As far its memory is concerned, it consists of 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a micro-SD card. The camera of J1 is paired with 5MP rear camera and 2MP front shooter for selfies. The features include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection. Further, the handset is packed with Li-Ion 2050mAh removable battery and gives a talk time up to 12 hours. The handset can be grabbed in three color variants- White, Black, Gold.

On the dimensions front, the handset measures 121.60 x 63.10 x 10.80mm and weighs 120 grams. The Dual-SIM phone is paired with a 5-megapixel rear camera along with LED flash and autofocus and a 0.3 megapixel front facing camera. On connectivity front, the J1 Mini supports Wi-Fi, GPS, FM, and Bluetooth. Lastly, the 1500mAh removable battery capacity completes the package.

The handset is powered by Exynos 3475 Quad chipset and clocked with 1.3GHz quad-core processor.

The storage capacity of the device is packed with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, with the expandable memory of 128GB via a micro-SD card. The primary camera sports 5MP camera on the rear side along with LED flash and autofocus. Other features include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and sports 2MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture. The device features 3.5mm jack for headphones and FM Radio is also supported. Moreover, the smartphone is packed with a 2000mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy J3, which was released in November 2015 with a measurement of 142.30 x 71.00 x 7.90 mm, weighs about 138 gm. The handset can be grabbed in three color variants i.e. Gold, Black and White. The touchscreen phone sports a 5.00-inch display screen and a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. The device is packed with 2600mAh non-removable battery and is processed by 1.5GHz quad-core processor. As far its storage capacity is concerned, it is equipped with 1.5 GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage and via a micro-SD card, it can be extended till 128GB. The camera sports 8MP on rear side along with flash and autofocus and features 5MP on a front facing side of the phone.

Talking about the sequence, J4 is to be in line. But it’s not that. The Galaxy J4 is a non-existent phone. After Galaxy J3, J5 is in series and after that J7, neither J4 and nor J6, remember. Galaxy J4 is such a fictitious device.

Coming to J5 and J7, whose 2016 editions, which were recently launched run on the latest Android version i.e. Marshmallow operating system.

The device sports 5.20-inch display screen and comes with the resolution 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. The 1.2GHx quad-core processor is the backbone of the phone and is paired with 2GB RAM. Further on, the internal storage capacity of a phone is 16GB and is expanded till 128GB via a micro-SD card.

The rear camera sports 13.-egapixel camera along with LED flashlight and features 5MP front camera for selfie click. As earlier said, the handset runs significantly on the Android Marshmallow operating system. Speaking of the connectivity options, it assists Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG and headphones of a 3.5mm jack. The latest edition is a dual-SIM phone which supports 3G/4G connection network.

And lastly, the Samsung Galaxy J7 whose 2016 edition was released in March 2016 was available on sale from April. It comes with the 5.50-inch screen display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The handset is well equipped with a 3100mAh battery and is packed with 3GB of RAM. Further on, the 16GB internal storage is integrated into it and via a micro-SD card, the memory can be extended till 128GB.

The device is paired with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera for selfie snap.  J7 is powered by 1.6GHz octa-core processor and runs on Android Marshmallow operating system as earlier mentioned. Furthermore, the model supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v 4.10, 4G/LTE, and USB/OTG as connectivity options.
