OnePlus 3T has started rolling out its first OxygenOS update

OnePlus 3T has started rolling out its first OxygenOS update, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.  OnePus has verified that the OygenOS 3.5.4 update will be released to users over-the-air (OTA) and will be an incremental upgrade. In the forum post, OnePlus said, for now, the OTA will only reach a small percentage of the users and eventually the company will initiate a broader roll out.

According to the company, the OxygenOS 3.5.4 update for the new OnePlus 3T comes with optimisations for US-TMO Network and minimise the lag during when the battery is below 5 percent. The update also features optimised Bluetooth connectivity for Mazda cars and an improvised battery saving mode. OnePlus states that GPS and orientation inclinations will be reinstated when the Battery Saving Mode is shut. The OxygenOS 3.5.4 also fixes flashlight usability issue faced in WhatsApp, enhances system stability, and features various bug fixes.

To recall, the OnePlus 3T was recently made available in India at Rs. 29,999 for the 64GB storage variant and the 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 34,999. This is one of the most expensive smartphones by OnePlus yet.

The OnePlus 3T comes with an anodised aluminium metal unibody along with a fingerprint sensor that is housed on the home button. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1080×1920 pixels) Optic AMOLED display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

OnePlus 3T features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 CPU along with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and  64/128GB storage options. Concerning the optics, OnePlus 3T has 16-megapixel primary and secondary camera. The imaging sensor is powered by Samsung 3P8SP along with 1-micron pixels. The handset is powered by a 3400mAh battery along with Dash Charging technology.

Furthermore, the company has also started releasing the latest community build based on Android 7.0 Nougat for the predecessor, OnePlus 3 as well. The OxygenOS Open Beta 9 comes with added screenshots, general UI optimisation, Shelf design optimisation, enhanced battery performance, DPI optimisation, performance optimisation, and general bug fixes.
