OnePlus 3T to come with Snapdragon 821 SoC, and Android 7.0 Nougat

There are speculations going around of another Oneplus 3T, and now some recent reports have shed some more light on this subject. It is expected that OnePlus 3T to come with Snapdragon 821 SoC, and Android 7.0 Nougat.

A report claims that the new variant will be named OnePlus 3T. It restates that device will feature a 2.4GHz Snapdragon 821 chipset, as an alternative to the 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 spotted on the OnePlus 3. The performance of the new OnePlus 3T variant will be enhanced by 10 percent because of this alteration.

To summon up, the company has ditched its X series and verified that it would only concentrate on launching one flagship smartphone annually to do justice to the quality and brand image of OnePlus. Having said that, this new smartphone is a swing from that thought, and it is not that significant to upgrade on paper now. We can hope that the company incorporates more changes, maybe more storage. Anyhow, the OnePlus 3 is still quite impressive and powerful handset.

According to the reports, the OnePlus 3T will feature the same design and metal unibody as the OnePlus 3 and will have the Dash Charge technology implanted. Another significant change expected is that the smartphone is said to run on the most up-to-date Android 7.0 Nougat-based Oxygen OS out-of-the-box.

Until now, there is no word from the company as to when the smartphone will be launched. In August there was some buzz about the launch of a mini version of the OnePlus 3 in the works. However, co-founder Carl Pei denied this rumors calling them baseless. We cannot judge the authenticity of these rumors. Therefore we will have to wait for the company’s official announcement on this subject.
