One Plus one +0.02, -0.07 -94.1 93.8 0.0064 0.011 -94.3

It feels great in hand. It has primarily made up of a quality matte plastic shell that extends around back and sides of it. Its antibody construction and rear panel can be removed for customization purposes but it is firmly fixed in place with minimal creaking or flexing purposes. There is a metal-effect plastic rim that separates this rear cover from glass front, which cheapens effect ever so slightly but it is thin and unadorned. It does mean that the aforementioned glass frontage appears to stand out rather than melding into body of this phone, but it is not an unpleasant effect. Around back of it is oblong black camera element that houses its lens and dual-LED flash.

Its verdict is a premium phablet designed for those who seek perfection in all aspects. It is packed in a stylish and slim manner housing a gorgeous display and beastly hardware. The powerful feature is a great device for photography freaks as well. It runs CyanogenMod 11S and is powered and fuelled by a sealed 3,100mAh non removable battery Li-Po battery. This phablet is measures 152.90 height x 75.90 widths x 8.90 thickness and weighs 162.00 grams. Its Box Contents are Handset with built-in Battery, Charger, USB Cable, User Manual, Warranty Card.

Disadvantages:

  • Limited availability
  • Slow to meet pre orders
  • Invitation-based purchasing
  • No IR port
  • No FM Radio
  • No 60fps normal speed videos (60fps videos are all slowed down)
  • Dual speaker setup is mono only
  • Sold exclusively online
  • Non-expandable storage (no micro SD card slot). It has included permanent capacitive hardware keys underneath display which proves to be a mixed blessing. There is a menu key, a home key and a back-up key.

The other key test findings for this phone are as under –

  • Display is good and quite bright but poor blacks cause an only average contrast ratio
  • Speakers are among the loudest which have tested (despite not being stereo)
  • Its benchmarks is like a champ,
  • Battery life is solid especially for call times,
  • It was managed to play every video format we threw at it, including those with DTS and AC3 audio tracks etc.

Beyond the technical sum of specifications, this version truly handles well. UI is buttery smooth, expected from a blend of Android and CyanogenMod 11S. Its display is nice and sharp. Battery does well. Camera is also excellent. Speakers are extra loud and hardware costs more than they charge from us.

Finally, One Plus one is a great phone with an even better price tag. It is phone for android purists and running highly customizable CyanogenMod 11S with over air updates.  And a Full HD 1080p display with 64 gigs of storage that is a respectable list by any standard phone.
