LeEco and Coolpad launching another ‘Cool’ smartphone

LeEco and Coolpad launching another ‘Cool’ smartphone

LeEco and Coolpad made an announcement in August that they will be launching their first Cool series smartphone Cool1 Dual. This association started when Jia Yeuting LeEco’s CEO took over as Coolpad’s Chairman in August. Now it looks like LeEco and Coolpad launching another ‘Cool’ smartphone. Apparently ‘Cool’ is the name of the smartphone and the smartphone recently gone through China’s certification website TENNA.

According to the listing on TENNA, the Cool smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display. It will be powered by a 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 paired with 4GB/6GB RAM options. The smartphone is expected come in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage options and it will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Though the Coo1 Dual was seen with a dual rear camera, the upcoming smartphone will come with a single 16-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel front snapper. The Cool smartphone packs a massive 4000mAh battery.

With this partnership between LeEco and Coolpad, we can expect some LeEco’d designing on the Cool line up. The Cool Smartphone’s design looks familiar to the Le Pro 3 that was released by LeEco in September. On the other hand, rather than a brushed metal which was seen on the Le Pro 3, the Cool smartphone back looks much plainer.  According to the leaked images, the lower part of the back has the Cool logo along with ‘LeEco Inside’ written just underneath it. And as we pointed out earlier, the rest of the device looks similar to the Le Pro 3.

As of now pricing details or any other details have not be revealed. Seeing that the device has been certified, we can expect the new Cool smartphone to launch soon. More on the Cool smartphone’s pricing and specifications will be known when the handset goes official.
