Gradually Google has begun updating its iOS app. It started by updating Chrome back in October to feature Split View multitasking for iPad. It also added this support for Google Photos and YouTube. In March, the company updated Google Docs app for iPad Pro that supported native resolution though the multitasking feature was still missing.

With Slide Over feature users will be able to see an app above other running app. Whereas the Split view lets the users run two apps side-by-side whether equal or in adjustable windows. These updated features in Docs means the iPad Pro, iPad mini4, and iPad Air 2 users will be able to edit their documents and surf the web simultaneously. The multitasking support feature will enable researching, editing and browsing a whole lot easier and handy.

Except for Split View and Slide Over features, the update includes certain bug fixes and advancement. The updates also come with the features like inserting images and page breaks in Docs. All the updates are available in the Apple Store.

Reports from the Android Police states that for now, Google has updated its Docs, Sheets and Slides app for Android too, which offers enhanced table and chart functionality. It allows the users to copy the cell from the worksheet to Docs or Slides and in result get a formatted table. However, this new feature can’t copy more than 400 cells. Sheet chart functions have been improved too particularly in the manner they are drawn. Soon the update will be available for all.
