Alcatel is all set to launch Idol 4 and Idol 4s in India on Thursday

Alcatel launched its Idol 4 and Idol 4s smartphone at its pre-MWC 2016 event earlier this year. In fact, these were the first smartphone launched by the company following its rebranding to Alcatel from Alcatel OneTouch. Now Alcatel is all set to launch Idol 4 and Idol 4s in India on Thursday. The company has yet to announce the smartphones India pricing.

The Alcatel Idol 4 will be launched with a VR headset, and the company states that it marks its incursion into the expensive VR space. Further, it adds the distinctively designed Idol 4 smartphone takes everything to a different level along with a Boom Key and an amplified multimedia experience.

The Idol 4 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and features a 5.2-inch HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LTPS display. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3G RAM. It offers internal storage capacity of 16GBwhich can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

Coming to the optics, the Alcatel Idol 4 bears a 13-megapixel primary camera along with touch focus and dual LED flash. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front shooter with flash. The device is equipped with a real-time face beautification feature.

The dimensions of the Alcatel Idol 4 are measures at 147×72.5×7.1, and it weighs 135 grams. It is powered by a 2610mAh battery and also supports Quick Charge version 2.0.

Coming to specifications of Alcatel Idol 4s, it comes with a 5.5-inch (1440×2560 pixels) AMOLED display. It supports dual-SIM and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 processor with Adreno 510 and 3GB RAM.

In terms of the optics, the Alcatel Idol 4s features a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection, dual-LED flash, and autofocus. It also has an 8-megapixel front snapper with LED flash. It comes with an onboard storage capacity of 32GB which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. The dimensions of the smartphone are measured at 153.9×75.4x7mm.
