Xiaomi smartwatch rolling out in second half of 2016

Xiaomi Smart Watch: While the Xiaomi is gaining widespread attention for the launching of its 3 new classic devices on May 10, another news coming from the company about its watch is an icing on the cake. As, the rumors were already on the air a year before, that the Xiaomi is working on a smartwatch. Now, the company has officially claimed it.

De Liu, Co-founder, and Vice President confirmed the release of Mi smartwatch in the second half of this year at an event in Beijing. Before this, first speculations were alleged in March 2015. Afterwards, it was expected that the company is going to unveil it in November 2015. But all was a hoax.

According to Gizmo China, it is the first time when the company has admitted about its new device. Further on, he added that the Xiaomi has no plans in introducing automobiles much like its Chinese rivalry company, LeEco. It has also been confirmed that the company has plans for launching the electric bikes.

Also, assumptions have been made, and it is anticipated that the device will feature a circular display, and its framework will be made up of brushed metal. Mi watch will feature a biometric recognition feature called pulse wave velocity, which is an anecdote. It has also been buzzed that the device will be sporting health-centric features. And further on, we know that the Xiaomi’s smartphone comes with Android OS but does not feature Google Play store. Therefore, nothing can be said that the Mi watch will be operating on Android OS or would be running on its self-designed software.

All of this information should be taken with a pinch of salt except the release time of Mi Watch. And, also, nothing can be said that what name the company will be giving to its masterpiece gadget.

As said earlier, that on 10th May, the company is going to launch its three new classic pieces i.e. Mi Max, MIUI 8 ROM and Mi Band 2. Mi Band 2, the most talked topic, will offer a display and physical button, and is expected to be aimed at the entry-level segment.

Based in Beijing, the company already manufactures smartphones, fitness trackers, air purifiers, TVs, and tablets. Mainly, the company sells its devices via flash sales in India. The company founded 6 years ago on 6th April 2010 has been ranked world’s fifth largest smartphone maker in 2015.
