WhatsApp is expected to add new features to its iPhone app

WhatsApp is expected to add new features to its iPhone app, that will allow the user to edit and revoke sent messages. This upcoming feature is rumoured to be disabled by default for WhatsApp for iPhone beta app users however it is expected to be available soon. An additional expected feature is a capability to preview shared archive files which include ZIP and RAR files.

Apart from edit options, WhatsApp users will also receive a revoke option which will mean that the sent text never existed. Though, this will only work if the recipient hasn’t seen the sent message. At present the app lets the users delete messages on the device level and removes messages remain visible to the recipient. The upcoming feature of editing and revoking sent message will work by pressing long on the sent message. Unfortunately, there is no information when the new feature will be available for the Android beta users.

A separate news suggests that WhatsApp is testing another feature on its iPhone app that allows users to preview the contents of archive files such as RAR or ZIP files.
