Micromax Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro Launched in India

Micromax launched two more phones expanding its Unite series. The two smartphones are Micromax Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro Launched in India. Micromax Unite 4 will be available via offline retail channels while the Micromax Unite 4 Pro will be exclusively available on Snapdeal.

The company says that the new unite smartphone is targeted first-time smartphones which the users can use according to their native language. The new unite smartphones also are the first devices to launch Indus OS 2.0 which comes with more features such as support for 12 regional languages, App Bazaar, Indus to Indus free SMS services, Indus swipe and much more. The new Indus OS 2.0 also brings a text to text speech technology in 6 different languages in the smartphone.

Both the smartphones sport 8-megapixel rear cameras with autofocus and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. Both the handsets have a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels.

The unite four is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and is of 1GB of RAM. The handset has 8GB inbuilt storage, and the expandable storage can be expanded up to 32GB.

The Unite 4 Pro is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has an inbuilt storage of 16GB, and it can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The company claims that the unite four Pro is running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is further upgradable to Android marshmallow. It also has a 3900 mAh battery.

The company comments on the launch that the regional language support is the most overlooked feature of Micromax being the pioneer in bringing language smartphones to the country with its unite series. Some customers do not upgrade the phone due to lack of communications and to overcome these problems the company launched Indus OS. The handsets Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro are priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 7,499 respectively.  It will soon be available for sale in the market.
