Apart from its main highlighted all-metal body feature, the Moto M also sports antenna bands running on the top and bottom edges on the back panel. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D IPS (1080×1920 pixels) display, and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Moto M is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P15 processor which is clocked at 2.2GHz paired with 4GB of LPDDR3. The device offers 32GB onboard storage and also supports expandability option up to 128GB via microSD card.Coming to the optics of Moto M, it comes with a 16-megapixel primary camera along with dual-LED flash, PDAF support, and f/2.0 aperture. It also features an 8-megapixel front snapper. The handset is powered by a 3050mAh battery, which also comes with fast charging support. Much like any other Moto handsets, the Moto M also features splash proof design or nano-coating which means that the device is capable of bearing light rain splashes.

Coming to the optics of Moto M, it comes with a 16-megapixel primary camera along with dual-LED flash, PDAF support, and f/2.0 aperture. It also features an 8-megapixel front snapper. The handset is powered by a 3050mAh battery, which also comes with fast charging support. Much like any other Moto handsets, the Moto M also features splash proof design or nano-coating which means that the device is capable of bearing light rain splashes.

As for the connectivity, the Moto M has options such as 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.1, USB Type-C (USB 3.1), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and NFC. The dimensions of the smartphone are measured at 151.4×75.4×7.9mm, and it weighs 163 grams. Sensor options on the device are Fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity, compass, and gyroscope.
