Hyve launches 2 smartphones

Hyve launches 2 smartphones and is expecting to sell 1 million handsets in the first year on the back of its after-sale service. The company unveiled two smartphones namely Buzz and Storm.

Buzz-

The smartphone priced at RS 13,999 come with a two-year warranty. It is 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone. Buzz has a 5.5-inch high definition display. It has a 3GB RAM. The internal storage of this smartphone is 48GB, and it is expandable. The external storage can be expanded up to 144GB. It comes with 2500 mAh battery. It has a 5-megapixel front camera and 13-megapixel rear cameras.

Storm-

This smartphone priced at RS 8,499 comes with one-year warranty. The storm has a 5 inch HD display. It has a 2GB RAM. The internal storage of this smartphone is 16GB, and it is expandable. The external storage can be expanded up to 80GB. It has a 5-megapixel front camera and 13-megapixel rear camera.

These phones will start selling from June 22 on the Hyve’s website. The company will also sell it through Amazon and Flipkart. Both the smartphones have similar camera quality.

After sale services – After sales services are going to be a big differentiator for Hyve in the market. Hyve is providing both pick and drop service for the smartphone across all 4,200 pin codes in the country and with a complimentary damage insurance. This is something exclusive which is not done by even Big Brands in smartphones.

The pick and drop service for this smartphone will be complimentary only during the warranty period of the smartphone and Hyve will decide on service for out of warranty phones later.

Hyve will also look forward to the development of ecosystem and decide on pick and drop services accordingly.

Exclusive Feature- The company has also introduced its biometric-based Touch2Call patent technology in the Buzz smartphone. With the help of this technology a person can make a call just by touching a back site button with a finger. This feature is an out of the box feature which makes this phone stand out of the market. They are also thinking about optimizing this Touch2Call feature further to work as a panic button feature. This will be an Add-On feature which will enable the phone to send out quick SMS alerts to numbers fed in the panic button when touched with finger linked to it. This feature is likely to launch in August.

The company is also planning to launch a smartphone in RS 25,000 category. Let’s see how many consumers accept this new technology.
