Google Paid to Apple US$1 Billion to keep Google Search Bar in iPhone

Apple Inc has been paid 1 Billion US$ by Google Inc to keep the Google Search Bar on the iPhone.

Google Inc has an agreement with Apple Inc according to which Google gives a percentage of the revenue it generates through an Apple device. There were many rumors which arose about how much Google pays to Apple but both the companies never disclosed the exact amount publically. One of the spokeswomen for Apple – Kristin Huguetand and one of the spokesmen for Google – Aaron Stein, both denied on the topic mentioned above.

Sine 2010, Oracle has been fighting with Google, claiming that Google used its Java Software to develop Android without paying for it. Google lost the bid to hinder the case. Oracle is now expanding its claim to cover Newer Android Versions also which may take the claim to exceed over 1 Billion US$.

Google has taken this step to introduce Google Search bar on iPhone as it will lead to growth. Google must keep people using its Search Tool on their Smart Phones as it generates a handsome revenue for Google and this is the reason why Google got ready to pay such a hefty amount to Apple to keep the Search Bar on the iPhone.
