Gionee taunted the launch of its imminent smartphone via Weibo, which is considered the Chinese counterpart of Twitter. The upcoming device is tipped to be hailed as M2017 which might feature a heavy 7000mh battery. This massive battery is considered as the biggest USP of the device. We have no words regarding the price of the product until now, but we are sure it will be revealed in the coming days.

In the teaser image, Gionee presented the new brand ambassador holding the new smartphone in the hand. According to the prelude leaks, Gionee M2017 will come with a dual-camera setup. It is expected to bear a 12-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by a 13-megapixel secondary sensor. Whereas it also houses an 8-megapixel front snapper. The smartphone is further expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Plus, the upcoming smartphone is said to sports 5.7-inch QHD display, and it is tipped to be powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core processor. It is expected to offer 6GB of storage and a massive internal storage capacity of 128GB. The dimensions of the smartphone are measured at 155.2×77.6×10.6mm, and it weighs 230 grams.

Last month the company unveiled the S9 in China with a price tag of CNY 2,499 (around Rs. 25,000). The main highlights of Gionee S9 were it dual camera setup at the back- a 13-megapixel primary camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera. The camera setup uses camera sensor from Sony and Samsung respectively. The dual cameras on the smartphone allow the users to regulate the focus and depth of the field blur on the snapped images. The handset also features LED flash. Apart from the dual-camera setup, the Gionee S9 also houses a 13-megapixel front snapper along with the company’s selfie flash feature. It has self-timer and seven beauty effects to enhance the clicks. The smartphone supports dual-SIM and also incorporates a fingerprint scanner at the back.
