Gionee S6s Launched in India – A Selfie-Focussed Smartphone

Gionee’s much talked about a selfie-centered smartphone; the Gionee S6 has finally launched in India. The device is priced at Rs. 17,999 and comes with various selfie features like a front-facing flash. Gionee S6s Launched in India will be available only via Amazon from 2 pm IST on today. Within a week the smartphone will be offered in the retail stores and other online stores.

Apart from the bigger front-facing camera resolution and front-facing camera, the handset looks similar to the Gionee S6 which was unveiled in November last year and was rolled out in India in February.

The Gionee S6 is a dual-SIM phone that runs on the company’s Amigo 3.2 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD display with 1080*1920 resolutions and 2.5D Curved Edge Glass. The handset is packed by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC, paired with 3GB RAM. It sports a 13-megapixels standard camera along with a f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX58 sensor, and a LED flash, for front snapper it has an 8-megapixelfixed-focus camera along with a f/2.2 aperture, a flash module, and a 5P lens. The front camera also comes with a screen flash support.

The Gionee S6 features32GB of internal storage and comes with a hybrid dual-SIM card slot that allows storage expandability up to 128GB via microSD card. For connectivity, the smartphone have 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0.3, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, headphone jack, and a Micro-USB. This new smartphone packs a 3150mAh battery and also features a fingerprint sensor on the back panel. The smartphone comes packed with screen protector film and a see-through case.
To recall your memory, the original Gionee S6 was launched in the country with a price tag of Rs. 19, 999 and it seems that the company has balanced the cost of enhanced camera hardware with the reduces cost aged parts. The standard model sported a 5-megapixel front camera.
